Montreal Chinese Academic Association (MCAA) is a non-profit organization for Chinese scholars and students in Montreal, founded in July 2014. The past few years in Montreal sees the population ofChinese communities expanding quickly, and our initial motivation of creatingMCAA is to help more and more Chinese newcomers settle their liveshere moreeasily and get in touch with others in Quebec academic societies. We frequentlyorganize life orientation events as well as coordinate universities andcompanies from China for recruitment meetings. We have established andmaintained good relations with more than 30 Chinese academic and studentassociations from McGill, L’Université du Québec à Montréal (UQAM), Institutnational de la recherchescientifique – Université du Québec (INRS), Universitéde Montréal (UdeM), Concordia, Sherbrooke, Lava and Quebec universities.Meanwhile, MACC website has attracted over 120,000 visitors in the last year.
Our next goal is to better integrate withlocal communities and seek more opportunities for Canadians going exchange inChina. We already released the English version for Canadians going exchange andstudy in China. We have provided several types of Chinese scholars forCanadians and updated more than 30 latest exchange study opportunities in China. Our association would like to help the interested applicants to start theapplications as well as the follow-up Chinese exchange life. We believe itwould be a great potential for Canadian s to learn and know more about China.
